STAR TREK: STARGAZER – A SYNOPSIS I: The setting It’s the late TOS era. Back in the core worlds, you could already see technology reminiscent of the TMP era – unfortunately, you’re nowhere near the core worlds. This is the Cinda system, a planetary system on the edge of the Federation, near Tholian space. Once a bustling hub for Starfleet, it’s now a backwater, with minimal Federation presence. The depths of wild space are slowly but surely taking its roots in what was once considered “civilized” and “modern”. While the system is technically under Federation jurisdiction, for many, the Federation is but a faded memory, something that has abandoned them decades ago.
